About us
Meet our Co-Owners Kaci Brown & Amanda Wilsterman. Combined they have over 20 years worth of experience in Recreation and Aquatic Therapy, as well as both undertaking administrative tasks & responsibilities. Kaci and Amanda have a vision for specialized therapy services, hence the creation of Rising Tide Specialized Therapies, LLC. Together, we aim to provide these unique services while building community integration with peers & society members by creating & joining inclusive events & activities around our cities we call home. Our top mission is to create a more engaging approach to therapeutic work and getting involved in the community while building confidence & long-lasting relationships.

Kaci has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Bachelor‘s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Texas State University. While in school Kaci had the opportunity to work at a residential treatment center for kids/adolescents with severe Autism and Traumatic Brain Injuries where she fell in love with Recreation Therapy. Kaci has spent more than a decade working as a contract Recreation and Aquatic Therapist working with an array of different populations including psychiatric as well as physical & intellectual disabilities. She has also been able to use her knowledge from her business degree to assist in the administrative tasks of multiple contracting companies. In Kaci’s free time you can find her out in nature, hitting some heart pumping workouts, reading, and hanging out with her husband, son, pup, and loved ones.
Amanda Wilsterman

Recreation & Aquatic Therapist
Amanda has a Bachelor’s of Science in Dance & Health Education as well as Master’s of Science in Recreation & Leisure Services from Texas State University. While in grad school Amanda had the unique opportunity to experience several different settings & with many different populations & ultimately found her passion and purpose while teaching social skills & providing Recreation & Aquatic therapy to clients with developmental disabilities (specializing in ASD). Over the past decade and a half, Amanda has also created & spearheaded community recreation events & peer group community outings as passion projects working towards a more inclusive community. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys dance, art, water aerobics, game nights, karaoke (mainly at home with her dog), & spending time with friends & Family.
